Cover Teacher

Contract, expected to work full-time hours

Education and Training

£120 - £140 per day

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students in the absence of the regular teacher
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a conducive learning environment
• Provide support and assistance to students in their learning activities
• Ensure all work set is completed by students and manage any behaviour issues effectively
• Report back on the day's activities and any issues encountered to the appropriate staff

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments
• Strong classroom management skills

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Previous experience in a teaching role preferred

• Understanding of the UK education system
• Ability to engage and motivate students
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
• Experience working with children and young people

This role involves working in a school setting with students of various ages. The working hours are typically during school hours. The role may involve occasional additional responsibilities as required by the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
