Position Overview:

  • Role: Day-to-Day Supply Teacher
  • Location: Secondary schools in Stockport
  • Key Stages: KS3 and KS4 (ages 11-16)
  • Contract Type: Flexible supply cover, ranging from single-day assignments to longer-term cover
  • Availability: Part-time or full-time, depending on your schedule and preferences

Key Responsibilities:

As a Day-to-Day Supply Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Classroom Delivery: Teach pre-prepared lessons, following the school's established curriculum. You will not be required to plan lessons or mark work, allowing you to focus on teaching and managing the classroom.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a calm and structured learning environment, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused throughout the lesson. This involves handling any behavioural issues in accordance with the school's policies.
  • Support for Students: Assist pupils with any challenges they may face during the lesson. This may include answering questions, providing additional explanations, or offering support to students who need extra help.
  • Adapting to Different Schools: Work across a range of schools, embracing different classroom environments and school cultures. Flexibility is key, as each school may have its own unique approach and resources.
