ARE YOU QUALIFIED OR EXPERIENCED IN TEACHING DT?

 

The team at Teaching Personnel Birmingham are seeking a qualified and dedicated design and technology teacher (preferably with a specialism in product design), to work at one of our amazing partner schools within the Solihull area for an ASAP start. The OFSTED "Good" school has a very good relationship with the team at our Birmingham branch and aim to support teachers and staff fully.

This position is for an immediate start and Teaching Personnel will pay to scale for all fully qualified teacher roles!

 

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Relevant teaching experience across various disciplines across the DT curriculum
  • Degree in Product Design or relevant DT Subject
  • Prior experience working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 

Roles and Responsibilites:

  • Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons, predominantly product design but must have the ability to teach across multiple disciplines
  • Cater to the various individual needs within the class and differentiate planning to meet the diverse needs of all learners within each class
  • Regularly assess pupil progress through various forms of assessments and then provide timely and constructive feedback
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues within the department
  • Contribute to wider school community through engagement with extra curricular activities
