Are you a dynamic and dedicated educator with a passion for Design and Technology? A fast-improving and high-achieving secondary school is seeking a talented Teacher of Design and Technology to join their permanent staff list starting from September 2024.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in Design and Technology, inspiring students to explore and excel in this exciting field. This role requires a commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills among students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and encourages student engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Design and Technology or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary school level is highly desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Design and Technology.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
