Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for drama and the performing arts. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that develop students' skills in acting, stagecraft, and critical appreciation of theatre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging drama lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Encouraging students' creativity, confidence, and collaboration through practical and theoretical work.
  • Organising and directing school productions, performances, and extracurricular drama activities.
  • Assessing and evaluating students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and enhance the drama curriculum.
  • Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching drama at the secondary school level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to extracurricular activities and school events.
