Position: Drama/Acting Teacher
Salary: £120-£251 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

Teaching Personnel is looking for a passionate Drama/Acting Teacher with real-world industry experience to inspire students across schools in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in performing arts to bring their knowledge and creativity into the classroom, helping students to develop their confidence, acting skills, and a love for drama.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic drama lessons to students of varying abilities in secondary schools.
  • Share your industry experience and practical insights with students, bringing the subject to life through creative teaching approaches.
  • Inspire and guide students in drama productions, performances, and extracurricular activities.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where students feel confident expressing themselves.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to develop engaging schemes of work that encourage creativity and personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching drama/acting in a school setting (desirable).
  • Real-world experience in the acting or performing arts industry.
  • A strong passion for drama and the ability to ignite that passion in students.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
