Key Responsibilities:

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that encompass various design disciplines, including graphics, product design, textiles, and more. You will encourage students to think critically and creatively, fostering their problem-solving skills while honing their practical abilities. As a valued member of the teaching team, you will contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities that promote students' passion for design and technology.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. (essential)
  • A degree in Design Technology or a related subject.
  • Previous experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school setting. (not essential)
  • Strong subject knowledge across multiple design disciplines.
  • Ability to create innovative and dynamic lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents effectively.
