Are you a skilled and enthusiastic individual with a passion for Design & Technology? We are seeking a dedicated DT Technician to join our vibrant team at a thriving secondary school in Birmingham.

As a DT Technician, you will:

  • Support the DT department by preparing materials, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
  • Maintain and manage workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and in good working order.
  • Assist teachers during practical lessons, providing technical support and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
  • Help students with technical aspects of their projects, offering guidance and support.
  • Organise and manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative and engaging DT projects and activities.
  • Has experience working in a DT workshop or similar environment.
  • Possesses strong technical skills and knowledge of DT equipment and materials.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Is proactive, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Holds a valid DBS certificate or is willing to apply for one.
  • Has a keen interest in Design & Technology and a desire to support student learning and creativity.
