EAL Teaching Assistant –

Are you passionate about helping students achieve their full potential?
Do you have experience working with students who speak English as an additional language?
If so, Teaching Personnel would love to hear from you! We are seeking an EAL Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary school in Tameside starting in September 2024.

As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support in developing their English language skills. Collaborating with experienced teachers, you will create and deliver engaging lessons that help students improve their reading, writing, and speaking abilities. You will also work with small groups of students to provide targeted support and feedback.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with students who speak English as an additional language. You should be patient, empathetic, and able to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. A relevant qualification in teaching or supporting EAL learners is desirable but not essential. The salary will be competitive based on the candidate's experience and ability to develop the students’ knowledge within the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
