As an Early Help Worker, you will play a crucial role in identifying and supporting children and families who may be experiencing difficulties. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with pupils, parents, and carers to provide practical support and guidance.
  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families, and developing tailored support plans.
  • Coordinating with external agencies, such as social services and health professionals, to ensure families receive the help they need.
  • Offering advice on parenting, education, and emotional well-being, and helping families access relevant services.
  • Delivering group sessions or workshops to support children's social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring the progress of children and families receiving support.
  • Have experience in a similar role, such as family support, social work, or community work, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in social care, counselling, or a related field (desirable).
  • Be empathetic, patient, and able to build positive relationships with children and families.
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Be confident in working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
