Are you an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) ready to make a positive impact in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school? This SEN School provides a nurturing and supportive environment for its students with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). The schools dedicated staff work as a close-knit team to ensure every student feels valued, empowered, and able to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

As an ECT in this SEN school, you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching skills in a highly supportive environment, while working with pupils who need specialised support. You will receive comprehensive induction and mentoring throughout your ECT years and beyond, with access to ongoing professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement EHCP's for students with a range of learning needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to support student progress.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
