  • Provide one-to-one or group tutoring sessions to students preparing for English and Maths GCSE exams
  • Develop tailored learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Offer guidance and support to help students improve their understanding and performance in English and Maths
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a collaborative approach to learning
  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Previous experience as a tutor or teacher in English and Maths GCSE preparation

  • Thorough understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Additional certifications in education or subject-specific areas
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

This role involves working with students in various educational settings, including schools and community centres and their homes. The tutor may need to travel to different locations within the East of England region.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
