The English and Maths LAC KS3 Tutor will be responsible for providing high-quality tutoring in English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students. Duties include creating engaging lesson plans, assessing students' progress, and providing feedback to enhance learning outcomes. The tutor will also work closely with students to develop their literacy and numeracy skills, and support them in achieving their academic goals.
- A relevant teaching qualification
- Proven experience in tutoring English and Maths
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3 curriculum
A degree in Education or a related field
Previous experience in tutoring English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Strong understanding of assessment and feedback techniques
- Proficiency in creating engaging and effective lesson plans
- Additional teaching certifications
- Experience working with Looked After Children (LAC)
This role is part-time and temporary, with flexible hours. The tutor will primarily work in a learners home setting. The working environment will be supportive and collaborative, with opportunities for professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
