An Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking an enthusiastic English Graduate to join their team as a Teaching Assistant. This full-time role is perfect for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the education sector. The position begins in October and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent role based on performance.

  • Classroom Support: Assist English teachers in delivering engaging lessons, supporting students in developing their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
  • One-to-One and Small Group Tutoring: Provide additional help to students who may need extra support, particularly in areas such as essay writing, comprehension, and exam preparation.
  • Resource Preparation: Aid in the creation and organization of learning materials, ensuring that lessons are well-resourced and accessible to all students.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track student progress, provide feedback, and work with the teaching staff to address any challenges or areas for improvement.
  • Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and focused learning environment, ensuring that students remain engaged and motivated.

  • Degree in English or Related Field: A strong academic background in English Literature, English Language, or a closely related discipline.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively support and engage students.
