Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit an English Graduate Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. This full-time role begins in October and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position depending on performance.

Role Overview:

As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the English department by:

  • Assisting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with their English lessons, including reading, writing, and comprehension tasks.
  • Providing targeted support to small groups and individual students who require additional help to meet their learning goals.
  • Supporting class teachers in preparing lesson materials, adapting resources to suit individual needs, and managing classroom activities.
  • Offering one-to-one intervention for students who are struggling or require extra guidance with GCSE preparation, coursework, or exam techniques.
  • Working closely with pupils with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they are fully supported in their English studies.
  • Helping monitor and track student progress, feeding back to teachers and suggesting strategies to improve outcomes.
