Are you an experienced educator with a passion for English and a dedication to supporting students in an alternative provision setting? We are looking for a committed English Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in Blackburn.

Position: English HLTA
Location: Blackburn, Secondary Alternative Provision
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 3:20 pm
Contract Type: Temporary, long-term
Start Date: September

About the Role:

We are seeking an English HLTA to join our supportive and dynamic team. In this role, you will provide high-level assistance in the delivery of English lessons, working closely with students to enhance their learning experience in a secondary alternative provision setting. You will be instrumental in supporting students' academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging English lessons.
  • Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support.
  • Assist in the assessment and tracking of student progress.
  • Implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of English curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a secondary or alternative provision setting is desirable.
  • A commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
