Role Overview:

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Supply Teacher to work across a number of secondary schools in the South Manchester area. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified teachers who are looking for flexible working arrangements and the chance to make a positive impact on students’ learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students in various year groups.
  • Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of learners, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment that fosters student participation and motivation.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures, including safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
  • Previous experience teaching at the secondary level is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in different classroom settings.
