A highly regarded Secondary SEN School in Andover is seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position later in the academic year. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective GCSE English lessons, tailored to meet the needs of students with SEND
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning needs and promote positive outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the school's team to provide a supportive and structured learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring each pupil is supported to achieve their full potential

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
  • Experience teaching GCSE English
  • Prior experience working with students with special educational needs in a teaching or support role
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of SEND pupils
