An exciting opportunity awaits for an English Teacher within an SEMH provision based in Salford. Catering to secondary-aged pupils (11-18), this institution maintains reduced class sizes and a diverse range of abilities. Many of the students exhibit challenging behaviors and navigate complex SEMH requirements.

Your responsibility will encompass leading English classes, covering fundamental curriculum subjects, alongside specialised instruction in communication and life skills. Central to your role will be tailoring support to individual needs, fostering confidence, and imparting practical competencies in English. The school also offers vocational courses aimed at equipping students with skills vital for navigating life and employment. As an English teacher, your task will involve devising engaging strategies to captivate students and ensure their educational progress. Additionally, you'll adeptly adapt English lessons to ensure accessibility for all learners.

Applicants for this role must hold Qualified Teacher status  and exhibit a genuine zeal for supporting SEMH pupils. Ideally, candidates will possess prior experience in a specialist PRU school setting, including proficiency in managing challenging behaviors.

Competitive pay commensurate with experience.

Applicants must furnish suitable references and hold a valid DBS certificate or be eligible to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
