An Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Bury are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working English teacher to join their department.

  • Full-time English teacher.
  • Required to start in January 2022.
  • Paid to teaching scale (£25,714 - £41,604).

Our client school have noticed a staffing gap within the English department and are looking for an additional teacher to start in the new year.

The incoming teacher will be teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities. The incoming teacher should also be confident in delivering differentiated English to pupils of varying levels of learning ability. Some pupils may also have minor learning disabilities such as dyslexia and any experience with this is desirable.

Both experienced and newly qualified English teachers are urged to apply as all relevant induction support will be provided.

The school is an average sized secondary school with around 800 pupils on roll and has strong behaviour policies which have been recognised in the school’s Ofsted report. The school is easily accessible via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas of Bury and is close by to the town centre, meaning it can also be easily accessed via public transport from Rochdale and Bolton.
