A ‘Good’ Secondary school in Carnforth are seeking a full time Teacher of English to join them in May 2024 in preparation for long term cover. It is important the successful candidate has experience with classroom and behaviour management, as well as an approachable and friendly manner.

The English department have a great team of staff who are highly experienced, and the department collaboratively share tailored resources and activities. You will be committed to department meetings where you will discuss pupils’ progression and achievements, and you will work as a team to develop new ideas on how to support pupils’ academic enhancement.

Contract details:

Job role: English Teacher.

Hours: Full-time.

Start date: 27th May 2024

End date: Temporary – permanent

The ideal candidate will;

  • Be confident teaching classrooms of up to 30 students, of all learning abilities.
  • Have confident classroom and behaviour management.
  • Work well autonomously, as well as within the team.
  • Have a hard-working ethic.
  • Be a personable and approachable person.
