Teaching Personnel are seeking an English teacher to join our educational team in Newport. This role will be full time and will have an immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching and learning to students within a secondary school. Your primary focus will be on teaching English to students up to KS4.

Location: Newport

Start Date: Immediate

Hours: Full Time

Salary: Paid in line with MPS, starting at £157.66 daily

 

Key responsibilities:

-          Plan and create interesting lesson plans to access all pupils needs.

-          A strong commitment to deliver engaging lesson to promote pupil understanding.

-          Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for students learning progression.

-          Establish collaborative relationships with both staff and pupils.

-          Have strong knowledge of the specific subject and curriculum.

-          Have an excellent understanding of Safeguarding practices.

 

Required qualifications:

-          A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS/NQT.

-          Ability to build rapport with students and manage classroom dynamics effectively.

-          Being able to teach at KS5 is not a requirement but is desirable.

-          Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

-          Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

-          Enhanced DBS and registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
