The Role: As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, playing a crucial role in both the academic and personal development of your students. English, being a core subject, provides you with the opportunity to inspire and nurture creativity and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities.
  • Encourage a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work to support students in achieving their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Strong subject knowledge with experience teaching English within a UK secondary school.
  • Effective classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Start Date & Working Hours: The school is looking to appoint the right candidate as soon as possible but is also open to a January start for the right person. The school hours are from 8:15 am to 3:00 pm, and the role will involve full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.
