Position: English Teacher

Location: NN3, Northampton

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking English Teachers of a high quality to join our team to work In schools, in and around the Northampton area.

As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our students through the rich world of literature, writing, and critical analysis. You will design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, encouraging students to express themselves and think deeply about the texts they encounter. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire students to develop their own voices and excel in their academic journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive English curriculum for various grade levels.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking through dynamic teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate English education into the broader academic program.
  • Stay updated with current educational trends and best practices in English teaching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in English (state-specific requirements apply).
  • Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for literature, language, and student development.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
  • Hold an enhanced child only DBS on the update service
