Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role: We are seeking a talented English teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, helping them to develop strong literacy skills, a love for literature, and excellent exam results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in both written and spoken English
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and collaboration with colleagues

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (Key Stage 3 & 4)
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
