English Teacher – Stockport

Teaching Personnel is actively seeking a passionate and dynamic English Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Stockport. This full-time position involves delivering engaging and innovative English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of fostering a love of English, motivating students of all abilities to achieve their academic potential, and preparing them for GCSE examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum, ensuring differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Provide targeted support to students with varying abilities, including those with SEND, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
• Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
• Support students in developing their analytical, writing, and critical thinking skills, fostering a deep understanding of both English Language and Literature.
• Monitor student progress and liaise with colleagues to support their holistic development.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in teaching English at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, focused learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to student achievement.
