A secondary school in the Oldham and Rochdale area is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in delivering engaging lessons and raising pupil outcomes.
You will be able to inspire a love of literature and language, while helping students develop strong communication and analytical skills. Your ability to foster a positive learning environment and drive achievement will be key in shaping the future success of your pupils. As a collaborative team player, you will demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both students and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring that all learners are challenged and supported in their progress
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing contrastive feedback to ensure that every student reaches their full potential
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking , and a love of English literature and language
- Prepare students for GCSE English exams with tailored strategies to support individual learning needs
- Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff to develop innovative teaching approaches and share best practices
- Participate in departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and parents’ evenings as required
Key Requirements:- A degree-level qualification in English or a related field, with Qualified Tacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching English to GCSE level
- A proven ability to deliver outstanding attainment and achievement in English
- A creative and innovative approach to teaching that inspires and motivates learners
