TP Tutors are currently working with Schools and Local Authorities within the Stockton-on-Tees area, who are seeking a passionate English Tutor to help children/young people maximise their potential within the subject.

This role involves:

  • Planning and delivering engaging sessions surrounding the English curriculum.
  • Assessing pupils progress, providing constructive feedback in order to plan for ‘next steps’.
  • Being aware of the child’s needs and interests, using this to adopt a child-centred approach to learning.
  • Implementing behaviour strategies to ensure the children are engaged and focused within the sessions.

Preferred Tutor Requirements:

  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS)
  • Enhanced Child Workforce Only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one will be given).
  • Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 2 months form a 10 year career history.
  • Experience of working with children/young people with SEND,SEMH and other additional needs.
