We are working with a SEN provision in the Wisbech area, who cater for young people aged 11-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs. They are looking for an English Tutor to join them on a full time basis from September 2024
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs
- Provide individualised support and guidance to students to enhance their learning
- Develop lesson plans and educational materials in line with curriculum requirements
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them improve
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure student success
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Bachelor's degree in English
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - QTS is not mandatory for this role but is desirable
- Previous teaching experience that can be referenced
- Experience working with students with additional needs
- Strong understanding of educational principles and practises
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Organisational and time-management skills
