We are working with a SEN provision in the Wisbech area, who cater for young people aged 11-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs. They are looking for an English Tutor to join them on a full time basis from September 2024 

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to students to enhance their learning
  • Develop lesson plans and educational materials in line with curriculum requirements
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them improve
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure student success
  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in English
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - QTS is not mandatory for this role but is desirable
  • Previous teaching experience that can be referenced
  • Experience working with students with additional needs
  • Strong understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Organisational and time-management skills
