Education and Training

£20 - £30 Per hour

  • Plan and deliver English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) lessons to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC)
  • Assess the language proficiency levels of learners and tailor teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and activities to enhance language acquisition
  • Provide feedback and support to students to improve their English language skills
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, PGCE)
  • Experience teaching ESOL to diverse groups, preferably UASC
  • Understanding of safeguarding and welfare procedures for vulnerable learners

Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESOL

  • Excellent command of English language
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning styles
  • Knowledge of language acquisition theories and methodologies
  • Experience working with UASC or refugee populations
  • Additional qualifications in TESOL or TEFL
  • Interact with UASC students from diverse cultural backgrounds

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
