Education and Training

£20 - £30 Per hour

  • Plan and deliver engaging ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) lessons to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) in a supportive and inclusive manner
  • Assess students' language proficiency levels and provide appropriate support and feedback
  • Develop tailored lesson plans and teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of UASC learners
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a conducive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements
  • CELTA or equivalent ESOL teaching qualification
  • Experience working with UASC or vulnerable young people
  • Strong understanding of ESOL teaching methodologies and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESOL to diverse student populations

  • Knowledge of UK educational policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of UASC learners
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • PGCE in ESOL or related field
  • Experience working in a multicultural educational setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
