Job Title: Contract Exams Administrator

Location: 6 Form College, London Borough of Bromley

Contract: Ongoing 5 days, 37 hours a week long term contract

Contract salary: £20450 -£22312

State-of-the-Art 6 Form College located in the London Borough of Bromley is recruiting an Exams Administrator for a 5 days, 7 hours per week post to start immediately!

In this fast paced Exams Administrator post, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective administration of all examinations within the college. The  successful Exams Administrator must have experience processing exam entries, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with examination board regulations.

Additionally in this role you will be working closely with teaching staff, students, and exam boards to ensure the smooth running of all examination processes.

  • You must have worked in a similar position as an Exams Administrator in either a 6th Form College / FE College / Secondary School
  • You must have a child & adult enhanced DBS or able to pay for a new one immediately.
  • Manage the administration of all internal and external examinations, including GCSEs, A-Levels, and vocational qualifications.
  • Process exam entries and registrations accurately and within deadlines.
  • Schedule exam timetables and ensure all exam dates and times are effectively communicated to students and staff.
  • Coordinate the allocation of resources, including exam rooms, invigilators, and examination materials.
  • Ensure all examination venues are set up according to the required standards.
  • Manage the distribution and collection of exam papers and materials.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
  • Ensure all exam processes comply with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) and other relevant examination board regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and secure records of all examination-related documentation.
  • Handle any special arrangements or accommodations for students with additional needs.
  • Communication and Liaison:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for exam-related queries from students, parents, and staff.
  • Liaise with examination boards regarding entry submissions, amendments, and results.
  • Provide training and support to invigilators and other staff involved in the examination process.
  • Results and Certification:
  • Manage the receipt, distribution, and security of exam results.
  • Coordinate the process for appeals, re-marks, and other post-results services.
  • Ensure the timely distribution of certificates to students.
  • Proven experience in exam administration within an educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing information.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and examination management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of JCQ regulations and other relevant examination board requirements.
