Are you passionate about early years education and looking for flexible work within a supportive and nurturing environment? We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a Private Day Nursery in Southport, on a flexible basis.

The Role:

As a flexible Nursery Practitioner, you will be called upon to provide support in various areas of our nursery, ensuring that each child receives the best possible care and education. You will work as part of a friendly, professional team and have the opportunity to make a positive impact on young children’s lives. Working hours may vary, from between 9-37 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the daily care and development of children aged 0-5 in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Engage in activities that encourage children’s learning and development, such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and storytelling.
  • Build strong relationships with children, staff, and families to foster a sense of community within the nursery.
  • Support children with their individual needs, including feeding, changing, and promoting independence.
  • Work flexibly across different rooms and age groups as required.
  • Ensure the nursery’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding, are followed at all times.

About You:

  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their early development.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential – relevant experience will be considered.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • A patient, caring, and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
