An exciting opportunity for an Early Years Teaching Assistant has become available in one of Teaching Personnel's partnership schools! The school provides a happy, secure, and energetic community in which our pupils and staff can flourish.

As our Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Be a key worker for our youngest children.
  • Use specialist (Curricular / Learning) skills / training / experience to support pupils.
  • Work with the Teacher to maintain and develop an appropriate learning environment.
  • Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.

We are looking for individuals who have: 

  • A good understanding of primary Curriculum and how it is assessed.
  • NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
  • An ability to establish good working relationships with pupils acting as a role model.
  • An ability to support the change process, remaining positive during times of change.
  • An ability to provide support for all pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring they are safety and have access to learning activities.
  • A drive to be highly motivated and self-driven.
  • A willingness to be open to challenge to continue developing their skills.
  • A first aid certificate (or willing to go on the relevant training).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
