Are you enthusiastic about supporting young children during one of the most important stages of their educational journey? A welcoming and inclusive school in Bath, is looking for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to help with the transition into the new academic year. If you are passionate about early childhood education and committed to helping children feel secure and excited about their learning, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young children as they transition into the new academic year, ensuring a smooth and positive start.
  • Assist the Early Years Teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters the social, emotional, and educational development of each child.
  • Help children develop routines and adjust to the classroom setting.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children as needed, ensuring they receive the attention they need to thrive.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers to support each child's individual needs.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher and parents.
  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and maintaining a safe and clean learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • A caring and patient nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and effective teaching strategies.
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare would be an advantage but are not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
