Job Role:

A passionate and dedicated Cover Supervisor is sought to join the dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring that pupils continue to learn and engage in their studies. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring that pupils remain engaged and on task.
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure that students complete the assigned work.
  • Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
  • Provide assistance to pupils where necessary, answering questions and helping them with their work.
  • Report back to the regular teacher on pupil progress and any issues that arose during the lesson.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, including those related to behaviour and safeguarding.
  • Support other educational activities and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with secondary school pupils, ideally in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
