Teaching Personnel are looking for a Finance Assistant - someone who to work as a member of the finance team to support an efficient finance service across the school

Hours -

27.5 – 37 hours per week (number of hours/working pattern negotiable with successful candidate) 52 weeks per year

Duties will include:

  • Process orders, invoices and credit notes 
  • Process staff and student expense claims 
  • Prepare and manage regular supplier payments by BACS or Faster Payment
  • Preparation of journals as necessary
  • Manage supplier details and any subsequent amendments 
  • Assist with the maintenance of finance ledgers, attaching scanned documents as necessary
  • Undertake all ParentPay administration and handle all queries relating to ParentPay 
  • Input bank postings and complete regular bank reconciliations
  • Financial administration of all trips and enrichment costs; e.g. music tuition
  • Respond to financial queries from staff, parents/carers, external bodies and auditors when required
  • Maintain financial records, both digital and paper, with paper records maintained in an organised filing system

Qualifications - 

  •  GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths 
  • Evidence of commitment to personal professional development
  •  Experience of working within a finance team 
  • Experience of meeting tight and cyclical deadlines
  • Experience of using finance specific software

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
