Job Title: Food Technician

Location: Secondary School, Knowsley Area

Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time only)

Are you passionate about food and education? Do you want to inspire the next generation of chefs and food enthusiasts? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technician to join our vibrant secondary school in the Knowsley area.

  • Support the delivery of food technology lessons by preparing ingredients, equipment, and materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist students during practical cooking sessions, providing guidance and demonstrating techniques.
  • Help manage food stock, placing orders and maintaining inventory.
  • Work closely with the Food Technology teacher to enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Passion for food and cooking with knowledge of food preparation, safety, and hygiene.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment (experience working with young people is a bonus).
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude.
