Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Food Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and fosters creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in school events and activities.
  • Stay current with educational trends and advancements in Food Technology to continuously improve teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Food Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
