Food Technology Tutor

A specialist secondary provision based in Ormskirk are looking to hire a full-time Food Technology Teacher to further support their students. This school has an ever-growing, supportive staff base and are keen to add a resilient, proactive and adaptable teacher. The school would be keen to view CV’s and then complete an observation and meet with suitable candidates.

Key Information:

-          Full-time hours 8-4pm.

-          Monday to Friday (term-time only).

-          Specialist SEMH Secondary Provision.

-          Bamber Bridge based in Preston.

-          Competitive daily rate of pay £90-£150.

-          Experience with teaching cooking or food technology before – whether this is school based or working in a kitchen.

-          No specific teaching qualifications or school-based experience required but it is desirable.

School Information:

-          Small secondary specialist provision based in Ormskirk (L39).

-          Class sizes 6-10 pupils.

-          All pupils have EHC Plans which will need to be adhered to.

-          School supports pupils educational and holistic development.

-          Classes will have support including teachers, teaching assistants and additional 1:1 support.

-          Pupils can display quite challenging behaviour, and all have SEMH Additional Needs, so require support with their social and communication skills.
