FOOD TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

One of our close partnership schools within the Solihull area is seeking an experienced and highly motivated food technology teacher to join the team for the new academic year.

As a food technology teacher you will play a vital role within the D&T department to raise the standards of learning and attainment. It is important you work in collaboration with your colleagues to ensure the DT department is amongst the top performing within the school.

You will be fully supported with your own personal recruitment consultant to help you with the process every step of the way!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and stay updated with the latest teaching practices and technologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
