Are you a compassionate and dedicated teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with autism? Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Full-Time Food Technology Teacher for an exciting opportunity at a specialist school in the Cambridge area, rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

The school provides a nurturing environment for autistic children and young people aged 5–19. With a strong focus on maintaining consistent daily routines and staffing, the school ensures that learners feel safe, supported, and confident. The staff are highly trained to create a calm, structured learning environment where students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging food technology lessons tailored to the needs of students with autism.
  • Create a structured and supportive classroom environment to minimise anxiety and enhance learning.
  • Work closely with the school's multi-disciplinary team to ensure each student receives individualised support.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those with autism.
  • Strong subject knowledge in food technology and a passion for creative teaching.
  • A caring, patient, and flexible approach to education.
