Are you an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We have exciting opportunities across mid and west Cornwall on a flexible, zero-hour basis, with the possibility of permanent positions for the right candidates!

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs in both mainstream and specialist schools across mid and west Cornwall. Working closely with teachers and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), you will provide tailored support to ensure students can fully engage with their learning and reach their potential.

This zero-hour contract offers flexibility, with the chance to work on a variety of assignments. There is also potential for some roles to transition into permanent positions.

  • Support students with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to support learning and development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure students’ needs are met
  • Provide emotional and social support to students as required
