Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and fully qualified English Teacher to join our team and make a positive impact in secondary schools across Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to students aged 11-18, inspiring a love for literature, language, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Contribute to the development of the English department through collaborative planning and resource sharing.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and school staff to support student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as clubs or school events, to enrich the student experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level (KS3, KS4, and preferably KS5).
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
