The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and fully qualified English Teacher to join the school's dynamic English department. You will be responsible for teaching English across KS3 and KS4, preparing students for their GCSEs, and inspiring a love of language and literature. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to ensuring that all students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and support students' progress, ensuring all students are challenged and motivated
  • Work collaboratively with the department and contribute to the development of schemes of work
  • Create a positive learning environment, promoting high standards of behaviour and engagement
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to support student learning

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or related field
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to motivate students
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
