Role: Teacher of History

Location: Bushey

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a great school in Bushey, who are currently seeking an outstanding Fully Qualified Teacher of History to join their schools Humanities department for the Summer term.

Job Duties

  • Deliver high-quality history lessons to students, following the curriculum guidelines.
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, achievements, and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in history education and incorporate them into teaching practises.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching history at the secondary school level.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
