Position Overview: We are actively seeking a Fully Qualified English Teacher to join a dedicated team at an SEN (Special Educational Needs) Provision in Belvedere. The school specialises in providing support to young adults, primarily with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Secondary English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an enriching and engaging English curriculum to these young adults.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons for secondary-aged students.

• Tailor lessons to meet the distinctive needs and abilities of students with SEMH requirements.

• Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters personal growth and development.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a unified approach to student support and progress.

• Assess and track student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance as needed.

• Instil a passion for literature and language, nurturing a love of learning among your students.

Requirements:

• Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT) status with a valid teaching qualification.

• Specialisation in English at the secondary level.

• Prior experience teaching in UK schools is a must.

• Possess an active DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the update service, or a willingness to obtain one.

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
