Education and Training

£20 - £30 Per hour

  • Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in English and Maths GCSE subjects
  • Develop tailored lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve their academic performance
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support the overall development of students
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Strong knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEMH students

  • Understanding of SEMH challenges and how they impact learning
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs (SEN) or related field
  • Experience in delivering outreach or home tutoring services

This role involves working closely with students with SEMH needs, in home settings. The tutor may need to travel to different locations within the East of England region.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
