The GCSE SEN English and Maths 1:1 Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored educational support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in English and Maths at the GCSE level. Duties include creating individualised lesson plans, delivering engaging and interactive lessons, monitoring student progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet the unique learning needs of each student.

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

At least 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEN

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Additional certifications in special education
  • Experience in administering assessments and tracking student progress

This role is based in leaner's homes in Hackney, Greater London. The working hours may vary depending on student needs and exam schedules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
