As an English and Maths GCSE SEN Tutor, your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) preparing for their English and Maths GCSE exams. This includes developing individualised learning plans, delivering lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, assessing student progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of each student.

- A relevant teaching qualification

- Experience working with students with SEN

- Strong knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Previous experience teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload

- Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN)

- Experience working in a tutoring or mentoring capacity

You will be working in a supportive educational environment, to ensure the best outcomes for students with SEN. This role is part-time and temporary, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate both students and tutors.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
